Welcome back to Mystic Maps with your host Victoria.
So… we find ourselves at yet another Friday —
the day of Venus, planet of beauty, pleasure, romance, and attraction.
Venus rules the fixed earth sign Taurus and the cardinal air sign Libra…
but today we follow her into fiery territory.
Today we discuss Venus in Aries,
the planet of love entering the cardinal fire sign that begins the entire zodiac.
In Tarot, this placement aligns with the Four of Wands —
a card of celebration, excitement, passion, and shared joy.
Let’s dive in.
Venus Close to the Sun
4 of Wands Point: Warding off evil with or without realizing it. A good time for positive manifestations to do with desires.
Astrologically speaking, Venus never strays far from the Sun.
So only those with their Sun in Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, or Taurus can even have Venus in Aries.
But in Tarot?
The Four of Wands can appear for anyone —
bringing themes of passion, initiation, and fiery connection.
And “fiery” is the keyword for Venus in Aries.
The Marked Importance of Desire
4 of Wands Point: A recent positive conclusion to do with an academic, perhaps a romantic matter, or one to do with property. No, I do not mean a break-up.
There is a marked importance on sex with Venus in Aries.
This placement is bold, direct, physical, and unafraid of desire.
Inside and outside the bedroom, they are initiators.
They know what they want.
How they want it.
And when they want it.
They are confident.
They are daring.
They act first, think later —
because their fiery hearts have very little patience.
But with all fire comes a warning…
Haste Isn’t Always Their Ally
4 of Wands Point: Having bitten off more than you can chew, leaving you with unfinished projects, etc.
Haste is expected with Venus in Aries —
but it is not always their friend.
Snap decisions, impulse buys, and risks taken without thinking
can lead to financial consequences.
And while Venus in Aries walks with confidence,
a financial stumble can shake their self-esteem more than they let on.
Their fiery nature also sparks quarrels in love.
They love passionately…
but they fight passionately, too.
And as much as they might hope —
sex isn’t always the magic fix when things go wrong.
The Fun, the Fire, and the Fear of Boredom
4 of Wands Point: Your own brutal attitude, or that of others is keeping you from achievement.
When things are good, Venus in Aries is delightful.
They are fun, energetic, spontaneous, and full of enthusiasm.
But commitment?
That does not always come naturally.
Yes, they fall in love quickly —
sometimes instantly.
They wear their hearts on their sleeves.
They leap before looking.
But staying is the challenge.
The dichotomy is real:
intense emotion, but a restless spirit.
They crave excitement and cannot tolerate boredom.
So when a Venus in Aries commits —
it is a huge sacrifice,
and a deeply intentional act.
They are choosing one person…
and that choice means everything.
Because once anchored, once truly devoted,
their loyalty is fierce, fiery, and unwavering.
Are They Self-Centered?
Venus in Aries has the reputation for being self-centered.
But here’s the truth:
In their minds,
they must fasten their own seat belt
before they can be there for anyone else.
It isn’t selfishness —
it’s survival.
It’s making sure they are strong enough
to love, protect, and give their full fire
to the people they care about.
4 of Wands Point: Hang-ups held within are putting a chokehold on your happiness. A good time for some rest and recuperation after hard work. Use this as an opportunity to take a step back and introspect/meditate/contemplate.
Thank you for joining me for this Venus Friday edition of Mystic Maps.

but something to honor.
And when this placement commits,
its devotion burns like a torch that never goes out.
Until next time,
stay passionate, stay open,
and let Venus guide you through the fire.
